About Shannon
Shannon Jordan, M.A., is a an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and a Board Certified Coach with specializations in Executive, Career, and Wellness Coaching. She has spent 25 years helping people thrive in their professional lives and integrates strengths-based development, positive psychology, and neuroscience-based interventions into her work.
She was on the founding team for Qualcomm's "Career X" talent development initiative providing career development workshops, 1:1 coaching and assessment for 30,000 employees across the globe. Before moving into corporate work, Shannon spent 13 years in the University of California system directing a career coaching and counseling center for mid-career professionals in transition.
In the public sector, Shannon has facilitated programs for CalSTRS, City of San Diego, San Diego State University, City of Newport Beach, City of San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara County, and Napa County in her consulting role with The Centre for Organization Effectiveness. In the private sector, she has worked with Fortune 100 companies such as eBay, PayPal, AMEX, Accenture, Unilever, Bloomberg, Cisco, Amgen, Philips, IKEA, T-Mobile, Danaher, Siemens, Intel and Microsoft through her affiliations with Churchill Leadership Group and Potential Project, Inc.
Shannon has taught Career Development Interventions, Career Assessment, and the Psychology of Work on the adjunct faculty of University of San Diego School of Leadership and Education Sciences (SOLES) currently teaches for UC San Diego Centers for Integrative Health. She holds a B.A. in Business and an M.A. in Career Counseling and Adult Development. She is a contributing author to the book Building Workforce Strength and served as an Ask-the-Expert columnist on workplace issues for USAToday.com. Shannon is based in Solana Beach, California.
