I came into my first session with Shannon during a professional inflection point. To complicate matters, my family experienced the unexpected death of my former spouse and co-parent, adding additional pressure to make sense of my next career steps. My first two homework assignments were journal prompts, which unearthed language for describing the dissonance between my current work environment and the one I aspired to create for myself. I learned a new language, and the language unlocked mental doors that I had been banging my head against for a few years. Each session, and my work between sessions, unfolded new understanding about my professional self, career challenges, and my preferred future. I was surprised that while I was once courageous, I had become fearful. However, because of the language I developed in my sessions with Shannon, I reclaimed my strength, confidence, and hopefulness for whatever is next. I'm not afraid anymore!

Some leaders are already talking about the practices they want to put into place. I had one manager stop me in the hallway because he wanted to thank me and the team for having this particular session. He felt like you were speaking directly to him, and he was meant to be there.
